The staff group create a highly welcoming environment.” – Ofsted, October 2010

Based in our new purpose-built building next to Spaldwick School, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage setout by the Department for education and skills.

We are registered with the Nursery Education Grant Scheme which means that you may use vouchers to pay for your child’s fees from the term after they turn three. The vouchers will cover the full cost of attending up to five, 2½ hr, playgroup sessions per week for the full term. We have a lunch club for which there is an additional charge.

Monday to Friday: 9:00 am to 11:30 am AND 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm

Fees: £3.50 per Hour

Children may join playgroup when they are 2 years of age. The aim of the playgroup is to provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment in which pre-school children can play together on a regular basis.

Each session is planned and includes play activities that help progress the children’s learning and development in each of the areas covered by the desirable learning goals. These are Communication Language and Literacy, Problem Solving Reasoning and Numeracy, Physical development, Creative development, Personal and Social development and finally Knowledge and Understanding of the World. Children are encouraged through play to use all their senses to explore the world around them. We provide safe and stimulating opportunities, using encouragement and praise for effort. Success breeds success! A drink and fresh fruit (provided by parents) are offered to children.
